Classes will be held on Wednesdays from 10am till 2pm.

Classes will be for 4-6 people.  Pricing is broken down as follows:

1  person $85   •   2  persons $80 each   •   3  persons $75 each   •  4 or more $65 each

 

Local cuisine is what most people who visit New Orleans are looking for.  The selection of dishes we will pepare will focus on classic New Orleans recipes including but not limited to Red Beans and Rice, Cornbread, Crawfish Etouffee and Gumbo.

For those cooks who are interested in learning the basics, such as knife skills, saute, smothering, stuffing vegetables, etc..  We will prepare a meal based on using several skills to pull it together.

These classes will focus on taking a single seasonal ingredient and preparing it several ways.  This will be helpful to anyone who has a garden and is looking for ways to prepare their harvest.

The New Orleans culinary scene includes not only chefs but home cooks, musicians and colorful characters around the city.  Soulbred Kitchen from time to time will invite local chefs and others to share their love of cooking and to prepare their favorite dishes for you.

My heritage is Sicilian and French but I also love food from other countries as well.  Having lived in South Texas for many years provided me with a basis for learning how to cook Mexican food from local women.  Their food was authentic and flavorful.  Our classes will focus on preparing dishes such as tamales, enchiladas and mole.  There will also be Italian, (including making pasta), French and Spanish menus for us to prepare.

Sometimes eating out is the last thing you want to do after a busy day at work.  There are so many single professionals who don't have time to cook after working long hours but want something healthy and quick.  This class will focus on preparing a satisfying and healthy menu that the busy professional will be able to execute in a short time.
